Our courses from Beginner, through to Working are fully accredited, offering a rewarding final assessment at each level, for those who wish to showcase their progress. You can choose between engaging group classes or personalised one-to-one coaching, tailored to your dog’s and your individual goals. All levels are designed to build confidence and competency, from foundational basics to advanced techniques.

Our private lessons are designed to be entirely tailored to you and your dog’s needs, ensuring a more effective and enjoyable training experience.
If you find group classes challenging or prefer a more private setting, our individual training sessions provide the perfect solution. These lessons allow us to focus exclusively on your dog’s specific issues and goals, making it easier to address problems such as recall, dummy delivery, or any other behavioural challenges in a focused environment.
Each training journey begins with a thorough assessment of your dog’s current behaviour and your training objectives. From there, we craft a personalised plan to help you reach your goals. During each session, we’ll work on targeted exercises, and you’ll receive tailored homework to reinforce progress between lessons. Welcome to Forest and Field Dog Training, where our passion for puppies is reflected in every session.
Our experienced trainers are dedicated to guiding you with confidence, helping your tiny bundle of energy feel comfortable and secure as they begin their journey. We cover all essential foundational skills, including socialising confidently with other dogs, maintaining focus, walking politely on a lead, and mastering commands such as recall, sit, leave it, and down. If needed, we can also incorporate crate training, toilet training, feeding routines, and handling visits to the vet, tailoring our approach to your puppy’s individual needs.
All our classes are designed to be fun and interactive, fostering a positive learning environment that encourages your puppy’s development. To ensure personalised attention, each class is limited to a maximum of six handlers and pups. Please remember to have your puppy fully vaccinated before enrolling.

After you have successfully completed the Puppy course, at around 5-6 months you can then progress onto the Junior stage, this will transition your puppy on to the Beginner gundog training course.
Whilst many pet gundogs serve as loyal friends, equipping them with essential life skills enhances every outing and deepens your bond. Our specialised classes focus on fundamental obedience skills such as walking calmly on a loose lead, reliable recall, preventing jumping, and commands like stay and leave. These key elements foster a harmonious relationship and ensure your dog is well-behaved in everyday situations.
Beyond basic obedience, we believe in playful learning because a happy dog is a well-rounded one. Incorporating fun activities not only strengthen your connection but also nurture your dog's natural instincts and joy. We also teach handling techniques that are invaluable when visiting the groomer or vet, helping your dog stay calm and confident in a variety of settings.
Our companion dog programme is a natural progression from puppy training, ideal for owners seeking a more relaxed, pet-focused approach without delving into full gundog lessons.
